The short version

Relog does not have an account system and does not upload your photos. Everything the app needs to work lives on your device. The only data that leaves your phone by default is crash reports, described below.

Photos

Relog asks for a live photo to close an activity. Those photos are stored on your device only. Matching a new photo against your reference photo is done locally using a small perceptual fingerprint (an "average hash") — a short numeric summary of the image. No photo and no fingerprint is transmitted to us.

Optional AI verification

Relog includes an optional stricter check that sends a photo to an AI provider you choose (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, NVIDIA, Groq, Together or xAI). This is off by default. It only runs if you turn it on and supply your own API key, which is stored in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iPhone, Keystore on Android). When enabled, the photo is sent directly from your device to that provider under your own account, subject to their privacy policy. We never receive it.

Optional cloud voice

The mascot can read its lines aloud. If you choose a cloud voice and supply your own API key, the text of the mascot's line (never your photos or notes) is sent from your device to the voice provider you picked. The built-in device voice sends nothing.

Camera

Relog uses the camera only while you are filing proof for an activity, and only after you tap to begin. It does not record video or audio, and does not access your photo library.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you personally. Relog has no account tied to you, no advertising identifiers and no ads or marketing trackers.

Crash reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, a crash report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service. A report contains the error and stack trace, basic device details (model, operating system version, free memory and disk space, app version) and a random installation ID that Crashlytics creates so repeated crashes can be grouped. It does not contain your photos, activities, notes or your name. We use these reports only to find and fix bugs. Crashlytics keeps them for up to 90 days and then deletes them; see Firebase's privacy information. On iPhone, Apple may also send crash diagnostics if you have enabled sharing in iOS Settings.

All data that leaves your device is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Data you can remove

Deleting the app, or using Settings → Data & privacy → Delete account and all data, removes all of its data from your device. We keep no account or photos on our servers. Crash reports are deleted automatically within 90 days; to ask for them to be deleted sooner, email support@myind.ai. See Delete your data.

Children

Relog is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
